Dr. Doug Otto, superintendent of schools, challenged Plano ISD's 7,000 employees to prepare students for college readiness and for careers that do not yet exist. His keynote address at Plano ISD's August 21 Employee Convocation also included major areas of focus for the school year.
All Plano ISD students and parents are invited to attend College Nights on September 10 and 11, where more than 200 colleges and universities will be represented.

Plano ISD is seeking college-age students and recent graduates to tutor students in the middle school and high school AVID programs.
Cadet Invited to National Forum
Plano West Senior High School JROTC Cadet Ryan Downing has been accepted to the National Youth Leadership Forum on National Security to be held in Washington, D.C.
