Plano ISD elementary and secondary school students swept their respective regional science fair competitions recently, capturing almost all grand prize trophies and numerous additional awards. Plano students entered more than 900 science research projects combined in the two prestigious regional fairs.

Employees Generously Contribute $113,800
to Plano ISD Education Foundation Campaign

Plano ISD employees reinforced their commitment to "Touch the Heart of a Child" by generously contributing $113,800 to the Plano ISD Education Foundation whose programs support the school district's students and staff. Despite a national economic recession and local financial belt-tightening initiatives, 100% of Plano ISD schools and service departments contributed to the annual campaign.

March 30 Town Hall Meeting on Accountability

The Plano ISD Board of Trustees will host a town hall meeting from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 30, at Meadows Elementary School, 2800 18th Street, Plano 75074. Community members are invited to hear an overview of the proposed "Texas Public Schools Accountability System" presented by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Doug Otto. The forum will also provide the public with the opportunity for informal conversation with school trustees.
