April 18 Central Market 'Thrill of the Grill' 5K Run to Benefit Plano ISD Education Foundation
The Plano ISD Education Foundation will benefit from proceeds of Central Market's "Thrill of the Grill" 5K run to be held on Saturday, April 18. Join more than 1,000 runners for this community wide event to feature a children's "fun run," grilling demonstrations and live music. Registration Form
May 3 Plano ISD Family Day with RoughRiders

Teacher of the Year Gala May 7 at Plano Centre
Guests will "boogie on down" to Plano Centre on May 7 for a star-studded celebration of teaching excellence at the 2009 Teacher of the Year Gala "Thursday Night Fever." Honorees will include more than 120 experienced and beginning teachers of the year. Highlighting the evening will be the announcement of Plano ISD's 2009 Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year.
School Board Update
Trustees will conduct a work session at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, at the Sockwell Center. Topics of discussion will include a 2009-10 Professional Development Plan and several items related to the 2009-10 appropriation budgets.
