Disco fever filled the air this week at a reception to honor Plano ISD's 68 Teacher of the Year nominees and 61 Beginning Teacher of the Year nominees. The event provided an opportunity for teachers to mingle with their peers, school principals, school trustees and superintendent's leadership team.
Teachers also had portraits made with Superintendent Doug Otto and trustees. Pictured above with Dr. Otto is Monique Perkins-Stinchcomb from Robinson Middle School. Also pictured (top of page) is Plano ISD and Region 10 2008 Teacher of the Year Janet Napoli (center) with Skaggs Elementary School Teachers of the Year Rachel Perez and Katy Blake. Highlighting the event will be Dr. Otto's surprise announcements of "Excellence in Teaching" awards and Plano ISD's Elementary and Secondary Teachers of the Year.
