School Board Election Saturday, May 9
Polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, for the Plano ISD School Board Election. Results of early voting and election day voting will be e-mailed late Saturday evening to eNews subscribers and posted on our district website and cable TV channel - Time Warner Channel 99 / Verizon FIOS Channel 33 Plano & Richardson. Annual Teacher Gala Postponed Until May 21
As a precautionary measure, Plano ISD postponed its annual Teacher of the Year Gala this week until Thursday, May 21. The original date was May 7. Existing reservations will be used in preparation for the event. Questions regarding reservations may be directed to the communications department at (469) 752-8099. The May 21 date was originally scheduled for the district's Trustee Awards of Excellence event. Details regarding changes to the Trustee Awards recognition will soon be shared by the district.

May 5 Work Session - School trustees discussed the following topics at their work session. Find links to supporting documents and reports on BoardBook.
Budget 2009-10 - Trustees discussed the debt service fund, food and nutritional services fund and Dr Pepper fund.
Compensation Study 2009-10 - Trustees discussed options for the 2009-10 employee compensation package.
Trustees will meet again in regular session at 7:00 p.m. on May 19 at the Plano ISD administration building, 2700 W. 15th Street. The agenda will be posted on BoardBook.
