Students & Staff Lend 'Holiday Helping Hands'
to Families in Need Locally and Across North Texas
Plano West Senior High School "Wolf Pack" members Madison Kuhne, junior class president; Matt Luedke, senior class president; and Madison Hart, student congress member, led the way for their fellow classmates who delivered several SUVs and U-Hauls filled with gifts for families in need at their feeder school Jackson Elementary. The Wolf Pack's generosity will brighten the holidays for more than 160 Jackson families.
In similar acts of kindness across the school district, 55,000 students and 7,000 faculty and staff members have been busy organizing donations for families in need locally and across North Texas. Their many acts of kindness are the subjects of our annual Holiday Helping Hands Photo Gallery.

Community Invited to Jan. 21 MLK Tribute
"Free to Lead" is the theme for Plano ISD's annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Tribute event to be held on January 21 at Plano Centre. The event will showcase hundreds of students in a parade of nations and through song, music, writing, speeches and art. Also at the event, winners of the annual diversity leadership awards will be announced.
Students 'Gross Out' at Sci-Tech Exhibit
Approximately 600 Plano ISD elementary school students visited Sci-Tech Discovery Center's "Grossology" exhibit this month, enjoying mind-stretching fun as they learned about the "impolite science of the human body." The exhibit continues through January 3.
