Dr. Doug Otto presented his annual keynote speechvideo to all 7,000 faculty and staff members this week at Plano ISD's 2009 Employee Convocation. "Leading Edge Education" was the theme for the annual event, which featured student and staff performances and remarks, unveiling of the Plano ISD Education Foundation's new alumni initiative, high-tech door prizes and much more.

Plano ISD Welcomes Facebook Fans

On August 24, Plano ISD will launch its presence on Facebook. Superintendent of Schools Doug Otto invites you to become a fan of the district for access to exclusive messages and presentations posted by the district's communications department staff.

AT&T Supports 'Destination: Graduation'

Plano ISD Education Foundation is the recipient of a $50,000 grant from the AT&T Foundation to fund the successful "Destination: Graduation" program for students who are incoming freshmen at Williams High School. See our story and photos, and watch video highlightsvideo from the press conference.

2009-10 District Publications

All Plano ISD families will receive copies of the district's "Student / Parent Policy Guide" (English or Spanish) and a "Calendar Book." The calendar books will be mailed to the homes of families soon. New students will receive a copy of the calendar book at school. Policy guides will be sent home with all students from school. Parents will sign and return forms at the back of the book.
