MLK Tribute Event Showcases
Student Talent, Videos & Awards
Hundreds of Plano ISD students were "Free to Lead" at Plano ISD's annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Tribute event held on January 21 at Plano Centre. The event was attended by more than 1,000 guests.

Plano West JROTC Cadet Battalion Commander Alex Sniffen led fellow cadets in presenting the Army's 11 Principles of Leadership. Also presenting were cadets Sarah Moudy, Plano Senior High, and Zen Ren, Plano East Senior High. |
Plano ISD leaders Dr. Doug Otto, superintendent of schools, and Lloyd "Skip" Jenkins, board president, served as event emcees. The MLK Tribute Planning Committee is chaired by Dr. Myrtle Hightower, former Plano ISD educator and community leader.
