Trustees Invite Community to October 11 Town Hall Meeting

Meet in person with the Plano ISD Board of Trustees at its first town hall meeting of the school year to be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 11, in the Clark High School Library, 523 Spring Creek Parkway, Plano 75023.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Doug Otto will present information on the topic of digital learning environments. The meeting will also provide the public time for informal conversation with trustees.

Plano Council of PTAs Invites Community to Drug Prevention & Awareness Program

 

The Plano ISD Council of PTAs invites parents to attend a community drug prevention and awareness program at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 10, at the Plano ISD Administration Building, 2700 W. 15th Street. Speakers will include Senator Florence Shapiro, the Plano Police Narcotics Unit and a local pharmacist. View flyer

The Hickey Elementary School "All Stars" earned a "Growth Achievement Award" from the Northwest Evaluation Association for the school's gains on the MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) tests. Students at the school met or exceeded their learning targets in reading and math on the tests. read

  • Recognitions - "Texas Human Resources Day" and "2010 Best Places to Work in D/FW" Award.
  • Consent Agenda - routine business items such as bids, purchases, budget items, advisory committee appointments, and more.
  • Administrative Appointment - The following appointment was announced: Sonja Pegram, Renner Middle School administrative intern
  • Bond Sale, Series 2010 - Trustees considered all matters incident and related to the issuance and sale of Plano ISD Unlimited Tax Refunding Bonds.
