Director Named 'College Board' Trustee
Paul Weaver, Plano ISD director of counseling and guidance, is the first public school counselor to be elected to the College Board as one of its trustees who represent the nation. "Plano has arrived at the table of decision makers on the College Board," said Mr. Weaver, who has spent many years connecting students to college success and opportunity.

April 30 Fun Run to Benefit Plano ISD
It's almost spring time in Texas, and there is no better way to enjoy the weather and the outdoors than to grab some friends and family and come out for a morning run and then some sizzle on the grill on April 30 at the 3rd annual Central Market Thrill of the Grill 5k benefiting the Plano ISD Education Foundation. Alliance Data Donates $200K to Foundation
The Plano ISD Education Foundation has announced that Alliance Data, headquartered in Plano, will support the Foundation through a multi-year, $200,000 contribution. Funding will benefit programs designed to boost achievement for Plano ISD students. Ed Heffernan, Alliance Data president and CEO, told school trustees that he will personally commit an additional $30,000 to support the Foundation.
