School PTA presidents were guests of honor at a luncheon hosted this week by school principals, district administrators, the board of trustees and the Plano ISD Council of PTAs. "Our PTAs have made us one of the strongest voices in the state," Superintendent Doug Otto said. "Your support is needed now more than ever." read

Employees Donate $120k to Foundation

Plano ISD employees reinforced their commitment to "Touch the Heart of a Child" by generously contributing $120,230 to the Plano ISD Education Foundation through its annual employee campaign. Fifty schools and departments exceeded their goals, with 3,278 employees contributing to the campaign. read

March 22 Special Meeting ~ Trustees held a special called meeting on Tuesday to approve a list of employment areas to be affected by a reduction in force (RIF). March 29 Work Session ~ Trustees will consider the following consent agenda item and will discuss two work session topics, beginning at 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, March 29, at Sockwell Center, 3601 Chapel Hill Boulevard in Plano.   • Consent Agenda - Employment Areas to be Affected by Reduction in Force (RIF)
  • Academy Visioning Discussion ~ staffing model, school organization, transportation, space utilization, program evaluation, community partnerships and frameworks for future academies

April 5 Regular Meeting ~ The next regular meeting of the school board will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, at the Plano ISD Administration Building, 2700 W. 15th Street in Plano.
