Local School Board Members Host Joint Press Conference in Plano to Address Budget Concerns

Plano ISD Board Secretary Missy Bender, joined trustees representing Arlington, Cedar Hill and Dallas ISDs to speak on behalf of public education to media and concerned community members at a press conference hosted on April 7 in Plano. "The message from 161 school districts in North Texas to legislators is, 'Have courage,'" said Ms. Bender. "Yielding to today's political pressure will bankrupt our children's future. By refusing to consider all options to solve budget woes, legislators are giving up on children and the state’s economy."
