Student at computer   State Releases Preliminary Ratings

With the release of the Texas Education Agency's preliminary state accountability report on July 29, Plano ISD is pleased to have maintained a Recognized district rating and an Exemplary rating in the "All Student” group across all content areas. Teacher   Teacher Inservice Begins Next Week

New teacher inservice begins on August 10, and all teachers return to duty on August 15. Teachers will attend workshops designed to strengthen their skills in preparation for the new school year. All employees will attend convocation on August 16. The annual event will feature students, staff and a keynote address by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Doug Otto. read
Team Leader   Team Leaders Graduate from Academy

More than 200 team leaders, department chairs and future leaders, representing each campus in Plano ISD, gathered for five days in July to focus on honing their leadership skills, exploring and developing instructional and leadership strengths and becoming more thoughtful and transparent communicators. read

  • Construction Report - Trustees heard a district wide construction update/status report.
  • Policies - The board approved Policy EI(Local) Academic Achievement on second reading and TASB Localized Policy Manual Update 90 on first reading.

August 16 Work Session ~ Trustees meet next during a work session at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16, at the Sockwell Center.
