Top Story Ninety-six Seniors Named Semifinalists in 2012 National Merit Scholarship Program The Plano Independent School District joins with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation in recognizing 96 seniors who have been awarded National Merit Semifinalist status. These Plano ISD students are among 16,000 academically talented seniors who have an opportunity to continue in the competition for 8,400 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $36 million to be awarded next spring.
