Elementary Hosts 'Writing Idol' Show with Celebrity
Judges

The Christie Writing Idol, a writing composition project
for third graders, is funded by a grant from the
Plano ISD Education Foundation. Loosely based on
the American Idol television program,
writers are “evaluated” by a panel of judges and then
paired with a third grade classroom to help improve
the writer’s
paper. In addition, celebrity judges participate weekly.
Mayor Pat Evans visited Christie to be a Celebrity
Judge for Christie Writing Idol. She is pictured with
