Multi-ethnic Committee Accepting Nominations for Sixth Annual Diversity Leadership Awards

November 2, 2004

The Plano Independent School District’s Multi-Ethnic Committee announces the Sixth Annual Diversity Leadership Awards.

This award may be presented each year to as many as two individuals: one student (or group of students, student organization that affects the district in important ways) and/or one teacher, principal, or other school based employee, who have done the most to foster the improvement of relations and understanding between individuals and groups of different races, cultures, ethnicities, or religions during the previous school year.

Nominations will be solicited from the entire community, but especially from the students and staff of PISD. The deadline for nominations has been extended to December 10, 2004.
