Committee Accepting Nominations for Sixth Annual
Diversity Leadership Awards

The Plano Independent School District’s Multi-Ethnic Committee
announces the Sixth Annual Diversity Leadership Awards.
This award
may be presented each year to as many as two individuals:
one student (or group of students, student organization that affects
the district
in important ways) and/or one teacher, principal,
or other school based employee, who have done the most to foster the
improvement of
relations and understanding between individuals and
groups of different races, cultures, ethnicities, or religions during
the previous school
year.
Nominations will be solicited from the entire community, but especially
from the students and staff of PISD. The deadline for
nominations has been extended to December 10, 2004.
2005
Diversity Leadership Award Nomination Form (Word - 29k)
The selection committee will
consist of members of the Multi-Ethnic Committee
and a PISD representative designated by the Superintendent of Schools.
The awardees must be
approved by the committee and will be presented to
the PISD Board of Trustees.
The Award will be presented to the winner(s) at a School Board Meeting
and the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, January 20, 2005.
