Department Hosts
'Hall of Honor' Dinner Fundraiser
April 29, 2005
The
Plano ISD Athletic Department hosted its 2nd Annual “Hall of
Honor” Dinner and Golf Tournament
this week. The Hall of Honor dinner was held on
Sunday, April 24, at the Sockwell Center, followed
the next day by the golf tournament at The Hills of
Prestonwood in Plano. The tournament fundraiser
helped the athletic
department offset new financial
challenges caused by the impact
of the state school finance situation, including student
participation fees, facility
upgrades and general needs.
Former Plano ISD Coaches
(l-r) Tommy Kimbrough, Tom Gray and John Clark have six championships
among them.
Sponsors for the dinner included
Shady Oak Barbecue, Ken Bigger, Pat Thomas, John
Muns, Johnnie Robinson, Keith Sockwell and TGH Companies,
Inc.
Sponsors for the golf tournament were Legacy Bank, Frisco
RoughRiders, Dynamist, Presbyterian Hospital of Plano,
Middlekauff Ford, Summit Alliance, Dr Pepper/7Up Bottlers,
Abuelo's Mexican, Food Embassy, Two Rows Classic Grill,
