Plano ISD MLK Tribute Event
to Feature Student Performances

students at mlk eventHundreds of students will be featured performers and speakers in the Plano ISD Martin L. King, Jr., Tribute Event to be held from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, at Plano Centre, 2000 E. Spring Creek Parkway. The event is free and open to the public.

The Plano ISD MLK Committee, chaired by Dr. Myrtle Hightower, retired Plano ISD educator, is planning the event, which will include presentation of the Plano ISD Multi-ethnic Committee's Diversity Leadership Awards and MLK Art Contestentries. The Plano ISD event will be among the many activities scheduled during the 2005 Plano MLK Celebration - "Many Nations, One Community."

    Downtown Plano
  • 11:30 a.m. - Program & Health Fair, City Hall
