on 'Key School' Initiatives

The Plano ISD Board of Trustees invites the community
to an "In
Person with the Plano ISD Board of Trustees" town hall meeting
to be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 13, at Weatherford
Elementary School, 2941 Mollimar Drive
, Plano 75075.
 Principal Arron Moeller and the Weatherford Elementary School
staff members will present information about initiatives underway
at
the campus
in
the areas
of curriculum,
staffing and staff training, technology, communications and policies,
which are designed to improve student learning and close the achievement
gap.
Weatherford is among three schools in Plano ISD, including Huffman
and Rasor elementary schools, that have been identified
as “key
schools” based upon such factors as student mobility, multifamily
housing and economically disadvantaged students. There will be
time following the program for informal conversation with members
of the board of trustees. Personal comments regarding staff members
or confidential student matters will not be allowed.
