Conference Enlightens
Plano West Student Scientists

Wang and Enhao Li, students at Jasper High School and Plano West
Senior High School during the 2004-05 school year, attended
ESI 2005 (Expo Science International) in Santiago, Chile this summer.
According to Ms. Li, They were among 27 students in the United
States delegation who spent five days
exchanging culture and scientific knowledge with students of 45 other nations.
The ESI is not a competition, but
more of an international conference. Attending the international
conference were students from Chile, scientists and delegates
from the others countries who visited with the Plano students about
their science projects.
During their time in Chile, the pair was also invited
to the United States Embassy in Santiago, Chile, to celebrate the
July 4th Holiday with the U.S. Ambassador Craig A. Kelly (pictured).
