Plano
East Theatre Wins District Title Third Consecutive
Year
April 3, 2006
Students from Plano East Senior High School are district champs
for the third straight year. Their production of "The Marriage
of Bette and Boo" by Christopher Durang captured the title at
the UIL One Act Play District Contest at Flower Mound High School
on
March 28.
Cast: (floor) Allan Kahn; (seated)
Lindsay Coffin and Sarah King; (standing) Tatiana Hullender, Colin
Welch, Ozi Akagha, Chris Villalobos, T.J. Adams, Pierce Purselley,
Bethany Law and Thomas Magbee.
Student’s receiving individual awards included:
- Ozi
Akagha (Best Actress)
- Chris Villalobos, Pierce Purselley and
Colin Welch (All Star Cast)
- Sarah King, Tatiana Hullender
and T. J.
Adams (Honorable Mention)
- Ruchi Fruitwala (Technical
Award).
Other members of the award winning company include
Allan Kahn,
Lindsay Coffin, Thomas Magbee, Bethany Law, David Quintero,
Jessica Andrewartha and Brandt Gentry.
The students are
under the direction
of Lisa Hale. The play will compete in the UIL Area
Contest on Saturday, April 8 at Coppell High School.
The students
will perform
for the public at Plano East Sr. High on Thursday,
April
6 at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free. Plano East is located
at 3000 Los
Rios
