East Theatre Advances to State UIL One-Act Competition

Plano
East Theatre, under the direction of Lisa Hale, advanced
from the UIL One-Act Play Regional Contest at Texas Tech on April
22
and
will
now
be
one
of the "elite
eight" at State! Only
eight 5A schools make it to the state contest, so this is a tremendous
accomplishment for these talented students.
This
will be the second appearance in three years for Plano East at
the
state meet. Theatre students placed second at the 2004 state
meet. The
students will perform at the Bass Concert Hall on the UT Austin
campus on Saturday, May 6.
Students
captured six individual medals and were named "Most Commendable
Company" by the Texas Tech host crew.
