PSHS Student Eric Hwang
Achieves Perfect SAT Score

December 21, 2005

Plano Senior High School Senior Eric Hwang has achieved a perfect score on the SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) college entrance exam. Eric is a National Merit Semifinalist and has earned numerous awards during his high school career in the fields of science, math, engineering and performing arts.

He is currently serving as secretary of the LASER (Learning About Science and Engineering Research) Club, under the guidance of 2005 State Secondary Teacher of the Year Karen Shepherd. He also currently serves as president of the Toastmasters Youth Gavel Club (public speaking and communication). In addition to school activities, Eric finds time to tutor elementary non-native English speakers at three schools in scientific method.
