Haggard Middle School seventh-grader Chelsea Stanford has written her first book, Runaway Hotel, published by Timberwolf Press in Allen, Texas, and will be available this week. This exciting book deals with the pains of growing up that touch everyone. Its broad range and timeless subject are sure to appeal to any young person as they face the trials of adolescence.

Henry's Homemade Ice Cream in Plano will host a book signing for her on Saturday, December 3, from 2:00PM-4:00PM. Henry's is located at 2909 W. 15th St (Northwest corner of 15th & Independence).

Runaway Hotel is complemented by the illustrator, Chelsea's Aunt
Lindsay Travis, who drew the illustrations and the book cover. Lindsay is a 2000 graduate of Plano East Senior High.

Chelsea is planning on donating a portion of the book proceeds to CITY House- the teen outreach center in Plano.
