Theatre Performances

October 26, 2005

Schools across the district provide wonderful entertainment for the whole family through their theatre performances.  Please join these school communities by attending their theatre events (schools are listed alphabetically).

Armstrong Middle School

  • Annie Jr -  A rousing version of the broadway classic.  Everyone's favorite orphan finds everything she's ever wanted with her dog Sandy and Daddy Warbucks by her side.

Carpenter Middle School

  • Razzmatazz 2005 -  A production of lip-sync and comedy revue.

Clark High School

  • Fortress -  A one-act play about what happens to a nine-year old boy when he finds out he is adopted.
  • November 10 at 7:00 p.m., November 15 at 5:30 p.m., & November 17 at 6:30 p.m.

Hendrick Middle School

  • School House Rock -  A story about a teacher on his first day of school when the characters from School House Rock come and encourage him to make learning fun.

Jasper High School

  • Picnic -  A one-act play about two young girls whose lives are changed forever when a mysterious stranger comes to town.

Murphy Middle School

  • Alice In Wonderland -  Experience wonderland...a magical place where nonsense makes sense and everyone begins to wonder.
  • October 27,28, & 29

Plano East Senior High School
3000 Los Rios Blvd., Plano, TX 75074

  • Metamorphoses - This 2002 Broadway hit take place entirely in and around a swimming pool.  The audience is seated on stage around the pool - towel optional!
  • November 3, 4, 5, & 7
  • 7:30 p.m. (also November 5 at 2:00 p.m.)

Plano West Senior High School

  • Little Shop of Horrors - Typical story of "Boy meets Girl, Boy falls in love with Girl, Girl gets eaten by plant."
  • November 17, 18, & 19

Schimelpfenig Middle School

  • Princess - A prince is looking for the princess of his dreams.  The evil stepmothers don't want him to find her so they put together a plan to make his dram become a nightmare.

Shepton High School

  • The Heidi Chronicles -  A story about a woman's journey through the turbulent 1960's, 70's and 80's that illustrates the dynamics of friendships and interpersonal relationships.
  • November 17 & 18, 2005

Williams High School
1717 17th St., Plano, TX 75074

  • Scenes and Revelations - Set in 1894 at the height of American's westward movement, the play portrays four Pennsylvania sisters who decide to move in the opposite direction.  As the play opens, they are prepared to leave their farm and birthplace to move to England.
