Students Get Happy Feet

The
Shops at Willow Bend will be decorating for the upcoming holidays
season using the theme "Happy Feet" from the animated penguin movie
that opens in mid November.
The
Shops contacted Beaty Early Childhood School Principal Susie Vaughan
and invited her students and teachers to decorate 40 pairs of Ked's
sneakers
revolving
around
the idea "What
makes us happy."
"Our
teachers read the book to the students, we danced to some of the
music from the movie and brainstormed
ideas of things that make us happy," reported Ms. Vaughan. "Students
and teachers were very, very creative! We have shoes that look
like
airplanes,
spaghetti,
an ice cream sundae, a birthday cake, Beaty butterflies, cars,
a swing, and many, many more fun shoes."
The shoes will be on
display at the Shops of Willow Bend beginning on November 2 and
will remain on display through the month of November. The "unveiling" of
their holiday display and the shoes will be on Thursday, November
2nd at 7:00 am. Our families have been invited to attend this special
event.
