Earns
Two National Awards

Congratulations to the Plano ISD
Human Resources Division, which recently won two awards at the
American Society of School Personnel Administrators national conference.
- The William L. Hunter - Point of
Light Award gives recognition to school districts
making outstanding contributions through the
implementation of innovative and comprehensive teacher development
programs, primarily focused upon strategies to increase the
number of teachers of color in school districts. This year, awards
were
given to Plano ISD for its diversity programs initiatives and
Ashville City Schools of Asheville, North Carolina.
- Newsletter
Award recognized the "HR Insighter," PISD's
electronic newsletter to principals about HR-related
matters. This award is judged on its content and
layout.
Tamira Griffin, human resources executive director, said, "Special
recognition go to Rob Stewart and Becky Wussow and their teams
for their leadership
and
dedication
to the
success
of these
programs."
