Principals Appointed to Lead Murphy, Miller and Schell Schools

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Doug Otto announced at the December 12 school board meeting the following principal appointments, effective January 3, 2007.

Susan Dantzler (pictured, left), Miller Elementary School principal, will open the new Schell Elementary School in fall, 2007. Susan has served as principal at Shepard, Harrington, Dooley and Miller. She began her career as a speech pathologist at Shepard and later served as a curriculum coordinator.

Jennifer Paschal (pictured, right), Miller assistant principal, will serve as Miller Elementary School’s principal. Jennifer has taught at Mathews Elementary and served as assistant principal at Wyatt and Davis elementary schools.

Ann Aston, Murphy Middle School assistant principal, will take the reins as principal of the Murphy Mavericks, succeeding Bonnie Manley, who is retiring this month. Ann’s nearly 30-year career in Plano ISD includes teaching at Meadows Elementary and serving as a teacher/curriculum designer and administrative intern at Armstrong Middle School. Curtis Michael (Mike) Pettie, administrative intern at Murphy, will serve as the school’s assistant principal. He taught at Stinson Elementary School for five years, before joining the Murphy staff. He has also taught and served as an assistant principal in Ft. Worth, Lake Worth and Phillips Barton-Lexa Public Schools.
