The event was held at Collin County Community College and featured guest speakers Susan Geddes and Michael Abney, Plano ISD's 2006 Teachers of the Year.

Dr. Otto told the group of approximately 200 guests, "Our jobs are alot easier because you're there, showing courage, intelligence and commitment...Our school board is proud and pleased that Plano ISD made the decision to be 100 percent PTA schools. Our PTAs are second to none."
