Financial System
September 1, 2006
The
Texas Education Agency took a close look at Plano ISD’s financial
accountability and budget data and gave the district its highest
rating of “Superior Achievement” for the third consecutive
year.
The
Schools FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas) rating
is based upon an analysis of staff and student data and
budgetary and actual financial data for fiscal year ending June
30, 2005. “This rating shows that Plano ISD’s schools
are accountable not only for student learning, but also for achieving
those results cost effectively and efficiently,” noted Linda
Madon, Plano ISD executive director of financial services.
“A
superior rating is the highest standard earned by school districts
that meet at least 19 of 21 performance criteria. Plano ISD passed
all 21 indicators.”

ISD’s Schools FIRST financial
