TMEA Honor Orchestra & Other Inivitations to State Convention

Plano ISD orchestras have begun the year on a high note, celebrating invitations from the Texas Music Educators Association. Plano Senior High School’s Full Orchestra has been selected as the 2007 TMEA Honor Orchestra.

This combined group of strings, winds and percussion is under the direction of Jeff Turner and Jeremy Kondrat. The group will perform at TMEA’s convention mid-February in San Antonio.

Also invited to perform at the convention is the Haggard Middle School Full Orchestra. Directors are Sue Ewing and Ken Valliant.

TMEA also extended an invitation to the Plano Children’s Chorale to perform at the convention. Music Specialists Anne Tracy of Christie, and Kendall Allen of Miller, direct the children’s chorale.
