PSHS Senior Makes History
with Two National Science Titles

Alexander Huang, Plano Senior High School senior, is the first Plano ISD student to earn finalist recognition in both Intel's and Siemen's national science contests.
As an Intel Science Talent Search Finalist , Alex will join an elite group of 40 Intel national finalists in traveling to Washington, D.C., in March during a celebration, which will include visits to the National Academies of Science and the Oval Office, where he will meet President George W. Bush.
Alex's Teacher Karen Shepherd reports that he is assured a $5,000 scholarship and a top of the line laptop from Intel. During the week in Washington, D.C., more than $480,000 in scholarships will be awarded, with the top student receiving $100,000.
Alex was also recognized in December, 2007, by the Siemen's Foundation as a national science finalist.
