Plano ISD's 129 Teacher of the Year nominees attended a reception on April 21 at the school district's Sockwell Center, where they mingled with one another, school principals, district administrators and the board of trustees.
The event helped build excitement for Plano ISD's May 7 Teacher of the Year Gala - Thursday Night Fever. At the disco-themed event, an anticipated 1,400 educators, community leaders and sponsors will gather at Plano Centre to celebrate teaching excellence and award the district's top teachers.
