2008 State Accountability Ratings

August 1, 2008

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) rated Plano ISD "exemplary" on 18 out of 25 academic indicators, through its 2008 accountability ratings report released today. Plano ISD was rated "recognized" on five indicators and "academically acceptable" on two.

Accountability ratings are based on student performance on state tests, dropout rates and high school completion rates.

Plano ISD improved in 20 out of 25 indicators for 2008, with 12 of those indicators already in the "exemplary range," where incremental improvement is most difficult. Plano ISD congratulates its 28 campuses that earned "exemplary" ratings.
