Several Plano ISD schools were recognized at the City of Plano’s “Living Green, Leading Green” Environmental Community Awards luncheon held on September 25 at the Collin College Spring Creek Campus. Award winners follow.

Outstanding School Environmental Awards

• Composting - Daffron Elementary
• Environmental Awareness - Beverly Elementary and Wilson Middle School (Honorable Mention: Boggess Elementary)
• Campus Beautification - Wilson Middle School

School Recycling Incentive Awards

• 1st Place - Hunt Elementary & Bowman Middle School
• 2nd Place - Dooley Elementary & Wilson Middle School
• 3rd Place - Weatherford Elementary & Armstrong Middle School
• Single Stream - Shepton High School
• Organic - McCall Elementary School
• Most Improved - Daffron Elementary School
