Secondary District Science Fair Largest Ever with 413 Competitors

Plano ISD held its largest secondary district science fair on February 3, with 335 projects entered by 413 students. Linda Flack, secondary science coordinator, reported that every secondary campus had students place at the fair. Select the links below to view lists of award winners and their projects.
Congratulations to the following grand prize winners: Megna Murali, Rice Middle School (junior division) with the project “Swimming Seashells,” and to Ryan Alexander, Clark High School (senior division) with “Gone With the Windmills.”
Winning the “Children’s Young Research Award” from Children’s Medical Center was Tess Michaels, Shepton High School, with “Diet and Longevity.”
“Judges were very complimentary about projects and the excellent interviews with students,” said Ms. Flack, who noted that the "Beal Bank Dallas Regional Science and Engineering Fair" will be held Saturday, February 28, at Fair Park in the Centennial Building.
