Plano ISD Earns "Leadership Circle Award" for Financial Transparency
February 5, 2010
The Local Government Assistance and Economic Development Comptroller of Public Accounts staff has reviewed Plano ISD's application for a "Leadership Circle Award" and verified a score of fourteen of fifteen possible points in the ratings criteria to earn a "Gold Level" award.

Linda Madon, executive director of financial services, accepted a certificate of honor from Brad Shanklin, vice-president, and fellow trustees at the February 2 meeting of the Plano ISD Board of Trustees.
The "Leadership Circle Award" certificate, signed by Comptroller Susan Combs, affords Plano ISD a gold seal on the Comptroller's "Transparency Check Up" website. The award is valid for one year, after which time the school district may reapply for the Leadership Circle Award.
The Leadership Circle Award logo will reside on the school district's website for financial services as a mark of success indicating implementation of financial transparency.
