40+ Projects Earn Awards at Elementary District History Fair

Plano ISD hosted its annual Elementary District History Fair at Renner Middle School on November 21, at which 222 fourth and fifth grade campus winners from across the district showcased their projects based on the theme "Innovation in History: Impact and Change."
Student presentations were conducted in the areas of individual media, group media, individual displays and group displays. Some 1,935 student projects advanced to the district fair from campus fairs.

Saigling Elementary School won a "High Point" award for the most students per school participating in the district history fair. |

Daffron Elementary School student Grayson Kembel will have his first place district history fair project displayed at Sam Pack 5 Star Ford in Plano until the end of the year.
In keeping with
the theme for the history fair, “Innovation in History: Impact and Change,” the fourth grader researched his project on Henry Ford and the innovation of the assembly line.
Grayson explained that he has always been interested in
taking things apart and putting them back together.
“I have that in common with Henry Ford,” Grayson said. |
