Textbook Review by Public Available Through January 15

All textbooks up for adoption will be available for review by the public from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, on school days from November 1, 2009, through January 15, 2010, at the Plano ISD Administration Building, 3rd Floor, Secondary Academic Services Department, 2700 W. 15th Street, Plano 75075.

Plano ISD's Textbook Adoption Process Packet includes detailed information about the textbook adoption process, a list of textbook committee members, textbook comment form and key dates involved in the adoption of textbooks.

Subject areas for textbook adoption this year are:

• English Language Arts & Reading, Grades K-1
• Spanish Language Arts & Reading, Grades K-1
• Reading, Grades 2-5
• Spanish Reading, Grades 2-5
• Reading (Elective), Grades 6-8
• Literature, Grades 6-12
• Spanish Literature, Grade 6
• English for Speakers of Other Languages I & II
• English Language Proficiency Standards, Grades 9-12 Teacher Editions
• AP English Languages, English Literature
• IB Language Studies, Standard & Higher Level

The textbooks are also available for review at Region 10 ESC, 400 East Spring Valley Road, Richardson, Texas. (Dates and times for the community to review textbooks up for adoption are advertised in area newspapers and on this Web site.)
