State Releases Preliminary District & School Accountability Ratings

With the release of preliminary school district accountability rating information from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) on July 29, Plano Independent School District anticipates a rating of Recognized for the 2010-2011 school year. Additionally, the “All Student” group maintains an Exemplary rating across all content areas.
“Student achievement is our highest priority in Plano ISD, and we are pleased that our district has maintained a Recognized accountability rating,” said Jim Hirsch, associate superintendent for academic services. “Our overall student group continues to achieve at the Exemplary level, and student performance remains relatively stable from previous years, even as the state rating procedure changed this year.”
