School Board Reschedules 2011-12 Bad Weather Make-Up Days

The Plano ISD Board of Trustees voted at its September 6, 2011, regular meeting to revise the previously adopted 2011-12 Plano ISD District Calendar by rescheduling the two bad weather make-up days. Trustees adopted the following two new inclement weather dates for the 2011-12 Plano ISD District Calendar:

First Bad Weather Make-Up Day Monday, February 20, 2012
(Presidents’ Day / Teacher Professional Development Day)

Second Bad Weather Make-Up Day Friday, April 6, 2012 (Spring Holiday, commonly observed as Good Friday)

The two bad weather make-up dates were previously scheduled for June 4 and 5, 2012. These two dates had to be rescheduled for two reasons: 1) Plano ISD’s 2012 Graduation ceremonies have recently been scheduled for Monday, June 4, at the Dallas Convention Center, and 2) High school seniors must attend school for a required number of days to be eligible to graduate.
