Plano ISD's $481 Million Bond Election Proposition Passed on May 7 with Nearly 80% Voter Approval

On May 7, Collin County voters residing within the Plano ISD attendance zone were asked to consider a single proposition to provide $481 million toward eight major project areas with no increase to the tax rate. Canvassed election results were: 8,048 (78.56%) for and 2,196 (21.44%) against. Election results can be viewed on the Collin County elections website. Science Competitors Excel at International Events

Plano ISD students continued their winning tradition at two recent international science competitions - International Sustainable World Energy, Engineering & Environment Project Olympiad (I-SWEEEP) and Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF). Thirty students advanced to the competitions, earning two "Best in Category" awards at Intel ISEF and five gold medals (pictured) at I-SWEEEP.read
