Plano ISD's state-mandated prekindergarten program serves children who are four years of age on or before September 1 and who are limited-English speaking, from families that qualify for free or reduced lunch, active military dependents or who have been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services. The program serves Spanish and Chinese bilingual children, other English-Language Learners, and children from families that meet the income guidelines.

Eligible students attend this program at no cost to the family. If you believe your child may be eligible for this program based on limited English proficiency, click on our Language Assessment Center Testing Schedule (49K) for additional information. Children attend a morning or afternoon session.

• Birth certificate
• Immunization records
• Social Security card for the child, if available.
• Proof of residency in Plano ISD
  (gas, electric bill or a lease)
• Bring child for language assessment 469-752-8874
• Military Dependents (Department of Defense ID required)
• Letter documenting conservatorship by the Department of Family and Protective Services.
