TEA Recognized Rating; Gold Performance Acknowledgment reading / English / language arts; Gold Performance Acknowledgment for math and science; Gold Performance Acknowledgment for social studies; Gold Performance Acknowledgment for attendance; TBEC Award 2010, 2009, 2008; highest scores in the world on the 2005 Advanced Placement Human Geography test; state and national qualifiers in speech; regional and state science fair winners; state and national Science Symposium finalists; state and national Junior Academy of Science finalists; First Place Regional French Competition, 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006; UIL Sweepstakes awards for band, choir, and orchestra; All-state band, choir, and orchestra qualifiers; Legacy orchestra has consistently ranked as one of the top four high school orchestras in the state of Texas by the Texas Music Educators Association; first place State and third place in Nationals at the TrigStar math competition; HOSA placed first in nationals; Jasper cheerleaders: competed in NCA nationals; FFA: participated at both the state and national levels in areas of leadership, vet. technology and livestock management; TCEA (Texas Computer Education Association) awarded First Place medals to Jasper students for their work in desktop publishing and Web mastering; active Future Business Leaders of America chapter with top place winnings in both state and national competitions; JROTC Honor Unit With Distinction (top 10% in the nation); third at 2005-2006 district One-Act Play competition; Awarded 2 all-star cast and 1 best technician at 2005-2006 district One-Act Play competition; students placed in state and received a top score in the Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) competition; individual tennis district champion 1999-2009.

Campus Programs

Humanities/Gifted Programs; AP Human Geography; AP European History, AP World History, AVID, and Project Lead the Way courses; student organizations such as: FFA, FBLA, LASER, STAND, PALS, Student Council, Yearbook, National Honor Society, French Club, German Club, French Honor Society, Art Club, Math Club; Academic competitions such as: Whiz Quiz, National Exams in French, Latin and German, State competition in French, Spanish, German and Latin and International Thespian Society.

Parent Involvement Opportunities

Parents can become involved through many active organizations, such as PTSA, Booster Clubs, and School Based Improvement Committee (SBIC). Many parents volunteer their time through the PTSA volunteer program by working at student schedule pick-up, in the front office, library, Xeroxing for staff, attendance office, in the school store and in classrooms.

Feeder Schools

2010-2011 School Year

Jasper students who are 9th and 10th graders in 2010-11 are not affected by the new feeder alignment.

2011-2012 School Year

Jasper students who are 9th graders in 2011-12 will feed to Plano West High School.

Jasper 10th grade students continue in the previous feeder pattern.

2012-2013 School Year

All Jasper students.
