2009 'Best Places to Work' award luncheon

Plano ISD employees voted their school district this year among the Best Places to Work in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Tamira Griffin, executive director of human resources, received notification of the award from the Dallas Business Journal, which conducts an annual online survey to poll local employees about their work places. This marks the third time employees have voted Plano ISD for the award. Previously, employees voted Plano ISD among the best places to work in 2006 and 2008.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Doug Otto and other Plano ISD officials attended a recognition luncheon on behalf of the 7,000 employees of Plano schools on Thursday, September 17, at The Renaissance Hotel in Addison.
In addition, Plano ISD was profiled as one of the Good Guys in a recent Journal issue.
