  • November 10 - Instruction booklets delivered to each location
  • November 17 - Enrollment period begins, the link is posted below
  • December 3 & 4 - Benefits staff available from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Sockwell Center to assist employees
  • December 5 - DEADLINE AT 12:00 NOON
  • December 12 - Confirmation letters will be sent. You must sign and return your letter to the Benefits office by 12/31/08.

  • 2009 Plan Changes:

    • Medical Plan Rate Increase 7% PDF file - For the past three years, employee costs for the district's medical plan have either remained stable or have been reduced.  As health care inflation continues to rise nationally to approximately 8% for 2009, it is necessary to increase employee contribution rates by 7%.
    • Mental Health and Employee Assistance Program - These services, currently provided by ValueOptions, will be administered by CIGNA for 2009.  All services must still be pre-certified by CIGNA.  Services that are not pre-certified will not be covered.  If your current healthcare provider is not in CIGNA's PPO network, please review the Transition of Care application PDF file (699 KB) to see if you qualify.  Transition of Care applications must be received by CIGNA no later than January 30, 2009.
    • Disease Management and Nurse Advice Line - These services, currently provided by Nationwide Better Health (NBH), will also be administered by CIGNA for 2009.  If you are currently participating in one of the disease management programs, CIGNA will coordinate the transition of your case, or you may contact CIGNA in January to request participation in one of their programs.
    • Vision Service Plan PDF file - The current vision plan will continue in 2009 with the same benefits and the same premiums.  However, a buy-up plan will be offered as a second option.  This will give you the choice of having better vision benefits by paying an additional premium. If you are currently enrolled in the vision plan, your coverage under that standard plan can roll-over to next year.  If you want to select the new buy-up plan, you will need to do that using the online enrollment program.
