Part-Time
Employee Benefits
The Plano ISD considers a part-time employee to be one who works
less than 25 hours per week. (Substitutes, long-term subs, student
help, adult temps, volunteers, etc., are not eligible for benefits).
Part-time employees may choose to purchase any of the medical plans
offered by Plano ISD, by paying the total monthly rate.
When Can You Enroll?
- Within 30 days of starting part-time employment; or
- Within 60 days of a qualified
change in status; or
- During the annual open enrollment
period (November) each year, for benefits to begin January 1 of
the following year.
