Hello, Centennial Comets!

I have been teaching for 23 years, spending my early years in Elementary Special Education and later, as a middle school history and English Language Arts teacher. The last 5 years I have been the Librarian and Media Specialist here at Centennial. My librarian goals are to match students with books they will love and learn from, teaching them about being a digitial citizen, and giving students a preliminary introduction to Engineering and Coding. Our Makerspace helps students learn about the design process and provides opportunities for creativity and thinking outside the box, a key skill set for the 21st century learner! 

When I am not at school or creating engaging lessons for my students, I love to spend time with my 3 adult children and my 3 grandchildren. I'm an avid Star Wars fan (short for fanatic!) and love to write and tend my garden. I look forward to developing relationships with everyone involved in our Centennial community.
