Jake Bywater

I’m excited to return to Clark for what is my fourth year in Plano ISD and my 10th year in education.

Though the past couple of years of school has been unpredictable at times, my dedication to our students and work ethic as an English teacher remains the same: I will share the value of reading and writing, not just as a form of entertainment, but also as a way to understand the world and communicate in it. As part of this process, I challenge our students with questions that will stretch their capacity to think and respond.

My additional work experience includes operating a private sports and social company in New Orleans as well as working in research at the University of Cambridge.

Outside the classroom, I officiate high school and college football as well as hockey locally. I enjoy traveling and drinking coffee.

I am looking forward to another year of growth and success with our students!
