My name is Aja Coleman and I am very excited to join Mendenhall Elementary as a School Counselor. Before joining Plano ISD, I was a Behavior Coach in Allen ISD.  Prior to moving to DFW about 5 years ago, I served as an Early Intervention Specialist in Atlanta, GA.    

I received a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 2002 from Clark Atlanta University, and a Masters of Education degree in School Counseling from University of West Alabama in 2007.

This will be my first year as a counselor. I’m excited to be working with students, teachers, the administrative team, and parents who are vested in educational success.  I will be conducting guidance lessons and small groups to students of all grade levels.
